Need some ideas of how to participate in Earth Day?
1) Recycle- Many people already recycle newspapers, aluminum cans, and plastic containers. However, these are not the only things that can be recycled. Many computer parts, cell phones, copper wires, and automotive parts can also be recycled.
2) Reuse- Start by reusing plastic containers whenever possible, then start looking for other uses for things you would normally throw away. If you aren't going to reuse it, it doesn't necessarily mean that someone else won't. Donate old sheets, towels, and blankets to animal rescue services. Donate old clothing to Goodwill or other organizations.
3) Make a donation- Monetary contributions to environmental causes are always appreciated, and are a great way to help..
4) Start your own group- Get together with family, friends, neighbors, or co-workers to form your own group designed to give to the community and the environment.
5) Volunteer- Most organizations need volunteers to help with many different tasks. Whether it's hard labor, answering or making calls, or just spreading awareness, there are always positions needing volunteers. Look online to find just the right opportunity for you.
