In a cold and rain lashed Dubai (!!!!) Chris and James' 2006 Class 1 season came to a sad close with a retirement due to a blown engine in the final race of the Class 1 Offxhore Powerboat Championships. "The story isn't supposed to end like this" I said, and they will both be redoubling their efforts in boat preparation & reliability over the winter, ready to race King of Shaves 07 next year. Commiserations and best wishes from all of us to Team Chris Parsonage and everyone who has looked after us so well this year. We WILL be Kings!

Now owned by P&G, Gillette have just announced the launch of Venus Breeze and a black coloured Fusion variation, Phantom. Expected to debut early 2007, Venus should make shaving a breeze for women, combining a gel strip so they can do away with shaving creams. This product will certainly give Wilkinson Sword's Intuition a run for its money. Will it cost more than Venus....what do you think?! Phantom, a Black Fusion will of course continue to transfer consumers from the Mach3 franchise to the Fusion franchise. Will it cost more? Well, what do you think.... Gillette also expect to gun for 10% of the Chinese market, currently using double edged blades. All seems to be going swimmingly for Gillette!
